Initiative activity

Market activity is termed initiative when there is buying within or above value , or selling within or below value. The activity is gauged using three measures:

a) the TPO count
b) the presence of tails or extremes in the profile (single prints above or below the profile - the number of such single prints that constitutes a tail is user-configurable in the Preferences Profile dialog).
c) range extensions. A range extension is defined in The Profile Analyzer™ as an extension of the day's range beyond the initial balance .
