Hint

A hint is a little window that pops up over a toolbar button when you leave your mouse cursor there for more than a fraction of a second. It displays a short clue as to the function of the button, in case you've forgotten or don't quite understand the picture in the button itself. Hints for active buttons have yellow backgrounds, while those for inactive buttons have gray backgrounds.
