Trend line

Trend lines may be drawn on a price chart in TPA. To draw a trend line, hold down Shift and click and drag the mouse. An elastic line will follow the cursor until you release Shift. Release Shift first to cancel drawing; release the mouse button first to finish drawing the trend line.

Trend lines may be moved and edited later. To move a trend line, hold Shift and click and drag anywhere on the line. To edit a trend line, click near the line to select it. Then, hold Shift, move the mouse cursor over one of the two handles that appear at either end of the line, and Shift drag to move that end of the line.

Trend lines that begin in the lower portion of a price chart having a volume or dropped series overlay are associated with that overlay, and are not shown while the overlay is not showing.
