Period range relationships, intra-day

         Use the period range relationships question to compare prices in different time periods during the day and to improve day-trading skills.

Example:

         The market trades throughout the morning within the range set by the first hour’s trading.

Questions from Traders:

         Does a market that spends the morning within the initial balance hold this range for the remainder of the day? How does the market close on these days?

Answers:

         The type of day we tested for in the search shown above occurs 12.8% of the time or about once every two weeks. We then refined the search to check if stability early in the day led to a market which closed within the price levels set by the initial balance. Most of the time (60.4%) a market which trades through the morning within the range established by the first two hours of trading will close within these price boundaries.
