Open interest

         Use the open interest question to highlight days when the open interest exceeds or falls below certain levels.

Example:

         Open interest is more than 400,000 contracts.

Questions from Traders:

         How often does the open interest exceed 400,000 contracts? Do these days signify market turning points or validate trends?

We examined these days to see if they coincided with market turning points or if they signaled the beginning of a sustained move in the market. You could use the open interest question along with other questions to search, for example, for trend days up having a minimum level of open interest.
