Getting Started
The Profile Analyzer is extremely easy to use, since it is written to take advantage of Microsoft's Windows operating environment. All operations are carried out by pointing and clicking using a mouse or other pointing device. TPA uses the multiple document interface (MDI) capabilities of Windows, so that each type of view of the data exists in its own inner (child) window within TPA's own main window .
Open a commodity database (.cdb) file
Use the File|Open or the corresponding toolbar button to open the database with which you wish to work. The title of this database appears in the status line of the main TPA window . By default The Profile Analyzer opens the last commodity database you worked with, so you may never have to open a database explicitly.
View the data in various formats (make charts)
The Window menu allows you to view the data and indicators based on the data in the form of stochastics, relative strength index (RSI) or high-low-close (HLC) charts for sets of days , or Market Profiles of various types (daily, monthly, yearly or cumulative) You can get an overview of market trends in this manner.
Analyze the data
This is the most useful feature of The Profile Analyzer . You can list a set of criteria describing a day, and search the database for all days that match the criteria. A large list of fill-in-the-blanks questions is supplied. PTT, Inc. can supply custom question modules to customers on a contract basis.
