         Use the day of the week question to select a particular day of the week for analysis.

Example:

         The range for the day is more than 32 ticks and the day is Friday.

Questions from Traders:

         How often will the market have over a one point range on Friday? Is it generally the employment report that causes these large ranges?

Answers:

         Our search yielded 45 Fridays (out of a possible 140) which had a range of more than one point. We then used the Details button for a quick check of what the most common reason for these volatile days was. To no one’s surprise, the employment report was the most common catalyst for the extended ranges recorded on Fridays. But we also note that PPI, CPI and options expiration dates were key factors on volatile Fridays.
